01 Who we are

Doctorspolis ("we", "us", or "our") operates Doctorspolis Med and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our business address is 02 LOT REDA AV MOHAMED VI, MEKNES 50050, MOROCCO. You can reach us at [email protected].

This policy covers the Doctorspolis Med mobile app, its account and medication features, and in-app purchases on Apple's App Store and Google Play. The Toubib and Toubib Pro services have a separate privacy policy.

02 Information we use

We receive information you enter, information from your sign-in and purchase providers, and technical information generated when you use the app.

Information and its purpose
CategoryWhat we use and why
Account informationYour name, email address, account identifier, and sign-in provider details support registration, authentication, account recovery, and your profile. Email/password sign-in and Google sign-in are handled through Firebase Authentication.
Medication informationThe medicine names, ingredients, strengths, dosage instructions, schedules, and dose history you enter let us provide medication tracking and reminders. These details can reveal health information. The app stores them on your device and synchronizes them with our backend when you enable cloud sync.
Settings and remindersLanguage, time zone, notification permission, reminder preferences, cloud-sync choices, and ad privacy choices support the features you select. Local reminders may display medication information in notifications; your device's notification settings control its visibility.
Purchase informationStore and product identifiers, transaction references or purchase tokens, an account-linked random identifier, and purchase/subscription status allow us to verify payments, restore purchases, prevent misuse, and provide ad removal.
Usage and technical informationApp interactions, installation identifiers, device/app information, network information such as IP addresses, and service or diagnostic logs support analytics, ad delivery where enabled, reliability, and security. See section 4 for the distinction between usage events and medication content.
Support messagesIf you contact us, we use your email address, message, and any information you choose to include to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending unnecessary health information or payment credentials.

Medication information is used to provide the features you request. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your medication details to personalize advertising.

03 In-app purchases

Where available, Doctorspolis Med offers a monthly auto-renewing subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase to remove banner and interstitial ads. The store's purchase screen shows the current price, currency, billing period, and applicable terms before you confirm.

Payment and verification

Apple or Google handles checkout, payment credentials, and billing under its own terms and privacy policy. Doctorspolis does not receive or store your full card number, security code, or bank account details through in-app purchases.

We send the store a randomly generated reference associated with your Doctorspolis Med account. It does not contain your name, email, or medication information, but it allows a purchase to be linked to your app account. Our backend checks purchase references with Apple or Google and processes the returned purchase, renewal, expiry, refund, or revocation status. Purchase references are stored in encrypted form to support verification and restoration.

Renewals, restoration, and refunds

The monthly subscription renews automatically unless canceled through the store. Manage it using the app's Manage subscription link or your Apple subscription settings or Google Play subscriptions. Cancellation normally leaves ad removal active until the end of the paid period; store-confirmed refunds, revocations, or other status changes may end access.

Use Restore purchases with the original app account and store account. Purchases are associated with one Doctorspolis Med account. A purchase is not automatically transferred to a new account after the original account is deleted. Contact us and the relevant store if you need help. Refund requests are handled through Apple or Google under their applicable rules.

Deleting the app or your Doctorspolis Med account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it with Apple or Google to stop future renewals. Ad removal does not disable account processing, purchase verification, cloud sync, or app analytics.

Purchase-related data practices are explained here. The applicable store terms also apply: Apple standard app licence agreement and Google Play terms.

04 Advertising and analytics

Advertising

The ad-supported app uses Google AdMob and requests non-personalized ads. We do not supply medication names, ingredients, dosages, schedules, dose history, your account ID, or your email as ad-targeting data.

Non-personalized ads still involve data processing. Google's advertising SDK may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, app/device identifiers permitted by platform settings, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. The app disables Android advertising-ID permission and does not request permission for cross-app tracking on iOS.

Google's consent tools present privacy messages where required. When available, open Profile → Ad privacy choices to review or change your choices. Ad requests depend on the consent system's eligibility checks. A verified active ad-removal purchase stops new ad requests and removes the app's banner and interstitial ads; it does not erase information previously processed by advertising providers.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used. Events include opening screens, signing in, adding, editing, or deleting a medicine, recording or undoing a dose, and changing settings. These events can indicate use of medication-related features.

Our custom analytics events do not include medicine names, dose amounts, schedules, free-text instructions, names, emails, or Doctorspolis account IDs. Analytics uses an app-instance identifier and may also collect standard app/device information and automatically collected events, including purchase events where supported by the SDK. Advertising-related collection and personalization settings are disabled for analytics. The current app does not provide a separate analytics opt-out switch.

For details about Google's processing, see the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.

05 Sharing, storage, and security

Information is processed by the providers needed to operate the app:

  • Google Firebase and Google Cloud: authentication, backend functions, account records, synchronized medication storage, and service infrastructure.
  • Google Analytics for Firebase and Google AdMob: the analytics and advertising processing described above.
  • Apple and Google Play: store billing, transaction verification, purchase restoration, and subscription management. The Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy also apply to their store services.

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or when necessary to protect users and the service against fraud or security threats. We do not automatically send your medication records to doctors, insurers, or the separate Toubib services.

Our medication-sync and purchase-verification backend functions are configured in Paris, France. Other provider services may process information in additional countries, including outside Morocco. The location of those functions does not mean all data is stored or processed only in France. Contact us for information about applicable international-transfer arrangements.

The app encrypts medication records in its local database and synchronized medication payloads on the backend. It also encrypts stored purchase references and uses authenticated network connections for backend access. Device keys use protected device storage. Backend processing uses server-managed keys, so this is not a claim of end-to-end encryption. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

06 How long we keep information

We keep account, medication, and purchase records while needed to provide your account and its features, including purchase restoration. Deleting a medicine from your active list may leave associated history or synchronization records until account deletion. Turning cloud sync off stops synchronization; it does not itself erase previously synchronized records.

Account deletion removes active account-linked records as described below. Limited security logs, support correspondence, or historical infrastructure backups may remain separately for their applicable retention periods. Retention depends on the purpose of the record, the time needed to resolve a request or security issue, configured provider retention, and any applicable legal obligation. Contact us for details about a particular record.

Apple and Google retain their own billing records under their policies and legal obligations. Advertising and analytics records are subject to their configured retention and provider policies; deleting your app account does not automatically delete every provider-held record. We do not assign your Doctorspolis account ID to analytics events, which may limit our ability to locate individual past analytics events from your account details alone.

07 Deleting your account

Open Profile → Delete account and complete the identity check and confirmation. You need a connection to submit the request. If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] with the subject "Doctorspolis Med account deletion" and the email used for your account. We may need to verify account ownership; do not send your password.

Deletion removes the authentication account, profile, synchronized medication records and dose history, account-linked purchase records, and the current device's account data and scheduled reminders. An interrupted accepted request is retried; the app may need to reconnect to finish local cleanup.

Copies on another device cannot be remotely erased while that device remains offline. Its later uploads are rejected after account deletion. Historical backups and provider records have the limitations described in section 6. An anonymous completion acknowledgement may remain to let the app confirm that a deletion finished; it contains no account identifier or medication data.

Cancel any subscription with the store separately. Deleting purchase records can prevent automatic restoration to a newly created app account.

08 Your rights and choices

You can edit medication information, manage notification visibility and permission in your device settings, turn cloud sync on or off, and use available ad privacy controls. Information necessary to authenticate an account or verify a purchase is required to provide those features.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, request portability where that right applies, or withdraw consent for processing that relies on it. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We may verify your identity before responding.

Send privacy requests to [email protected]. You may also raise concerns with the relevant data protection authority. In Morocco, information about rights and complaints is available from the CNDP.

Information about another person or a child

If you enter medication information for someone else, you must have the authority required to do so. A parent or guardian who believes a child's information has been provided without the necessary authorization can contact us to request review and deletion.

09 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The current version will appear on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will give additional notice or request consent before a relevant change takes effect.
